Best of the Book- Part One
I’m retiring the notebook that I’ve written every thought, idea, and quotation down in since February. All week I’ll be posting some of the best. Here’s one: “I think it’s a little more difficult to get from Cuba to America by boat, otherwise we’d have been saving dancing Cubans years ago.” -THE POLITICAL INSIGHT OF SULLY SANCHEZ, SUMMER SOLSTICE...

So all of a sudden I have school spirit I guess?
Going to MidKnight Madness tonight, which is the kickoff thing for the basketball season. Never been to an event like this before, much less any basketball games. But this year I’ve started going to volleyball games and I guess now all of a sudden I care about Saint Mary’s College athletics. Weird. Me freshman year would be so mad at me now.

Haiku of the Day
So pretty much every day I’m gonna take one of the haiku from my Twitter page and post it here. Starting today. This will remind me that I have a Tumblr page and I shouldn’t neglect it for other social networking websites. ———————————————— 10/26 Consider the ant Who lived and worked every...

What's Your Story?
(by mc-q) Come out, Come out, Wherever you are We’re having a show, and You’re the star Fantasy, Despair, Joy, and Rage Tonight all will unite upon this bare stage So I was raised by clowns. Seriously, when I was a baby both of my parents were party clowns. So we used to go to these parties and street fairs as a little clown family with our robot (Robbie the Robot) who sang and made...

So I was a part of theatre history last night.
Ten years ago, the town of Laramie, Wyoming and the entire world were rocked by the brutal murder of 21 year old Matthew Shepard, beaten to death because he was gay. The Tectonic Theatre Project went into the town of Laramie to conduct interviews and try to figure out how such a thing could have happened. Such was the subject matter of The Laramie Project, which over the course of the last ten...

PANDORUM is the most ridiculous movie I've ever...
PANDORUM is new to theaters. It stars a couple of guys that you know you’ve seen in other movies but can’t quite put a name to the face right away. Unless you’re one of those people that semi-stalks these dudes on the internet or something. The girl sitting next to me kept talking about how she was so in love with one of them. So it’s a sci fi horror thriller about a...

out the hate
there was a rally today at Saint Mary’s College of California aimed toward ending violence and discrimination against the LGBT community on campus. this rally came in the wake of four different acts of intolerance that occurred within the first month of the school session. it was time to call intolerance what it was. it was time to Out the Hate. students, faculty members, and staff alike...

Apparently today is a Craig Ferguson tweetathon
Too bad I don’t tweet. I love Craig Ferguson so much. His book (American on Purpose) comes out today, and I wish I had the money to buy the damn thing. I don’t get paid until Friday, but when I do I’m gonna be all over that like Andy Rooney on something mildly annoying. I’ve been waiting for the release of American on Purpose for a few months now, and from what I hear...
